• Adjust the amount of a previously requested Direct PLUS Loan
• Authorize how your school can use your Direct PLUS Loan funds to cover educational expenses

The information you provide will be sent to the school you select. Your chosen school will use this information to determine your eligibility for a Direct PLUS Loan as a graduate or professional student and to process your application.

Important Information to Know Before Proceeding:

1. Credit Check Requirement

   - We perform a credit check on all Direct PLUS Loan applicants. 

   - If you have a security freeze on your credit file, you must lift or remove it at each credit bureau before continuing. Your application cannot be processed if a security freeze is in place.

   - To qualify for a Direct PLUS Loan, you must not have an adverse credit history. If the credit check reveals an adverse credit history, we will provide information on how you may still be able to qualify for the loan.

2. Master Promissory Note (MPN)

   - You must complete a Direct PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) before you can receive Direct PLUS Loan funds.

   - The MPN outlines all terms and conditions of the Direct PLUS Loans and serves as your legally binding agreement to repay all loans received under the MPN.

   - If you haven't previously completed a Direct PLUS Loan MPN, you will have the opportunity to do so after finishing this loan application.
